Cassandra Chiu is a mother and founder of her own counseling practice, The Safe Harbour who became visually impaired at the age of 8 due to an inherited degenerative eye condition called Stargardt disease. The Guide Dogs Association of the Blind (GDAB) is a non-profit, voluntary welfare organisation. We are an associate member with the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and holds an Institute of Public Character status. GDAB was founded with the mission to enable the blind or visually impaired to be an active and contributing member of society by providing the follow services- 1) Orientation & Mobility programme 2) Guide Dogs programme 3) Eye-Live Independently programme, to enhance their mobility and independence.
